The app's rules

The site describes the rules as implemented by the Dés 10 000 app, based on reading its code. Where the app makes its own choices (no minimum score to bank, four matching dice scoring the same regardless of face value), these are stated on the rules page.

How the examples are verified

Every roll, count and game on the site is checked by a program before publication:

  • scores for the example selections, rejected selections and busting rolls calculated by the app's engine without modifying it;
  • the same results recalculated by a second program, written from the rules: the two must agree;
  • the 46 656 possible rolls of 6 dice, with every selection of dice from each roll, counted by both programs;
  • the example game replayed roll by roll by the second program, using the same rolls and choices as the app's computer;
  • the app's figures (dice, points, targets, players, displayed risk percentages and languages) checked in its code.
